Based in Melbourne, Lynda is a former Director and Past President of the National Council of the Society of Australian Sexologists Ltd (formerly the Australian Society of Sexuality Educators, Researchers and Therapists - ASSERT), and former Victorian Branch President. During her time as National President, she guided the organisation through a structural change, was involved in the re-development of the Society’s accreditation process and the organisation of the successful 10th National ASSERT Conference in Melbourne.
She has facilitated the SAS Victoria Peer Supervision group for the last fifteen years and mentors and supports many collegues.
Lynda presents at conferences, professional education nights and for private groups. Lynda was invited to convene the sex therapy stream for the 2013 World Prostate Cancer Congress, and actively encourages collaborations between health practitioners in forming a multi-disciplinary approach to sexuality to ensure better patient outcomes.
Lynda’s practice includes an interest in the use and adaptation of quality adult products for psychosexual therapeutic applications. Her contributions to the field resulted in a presentation at the 2010 World Association of Sexual Health Congress in Glasgow.
Lynda has written a regular advice column on sex and relationships for the Herald Sun; is often quoted in print media and has appeared many times as an expert guest on Triple J and ABC Radio.
She helps clients explore how to become happier in their relationships, or assists them to clear past stresses, creating a more positive outlook, a stronger sense of self, and greater confidence with sex.
